Autel is on the ban list as well. Skydio stopped consumer drones and went after DJI through congress. Money talks. Funny how skydio is all set now to make and get the government contracts. Odd how that works now that the CEO of skydio has screwed us.

If they ban chinese drones, then it bans everything that can spy, chinese phones, cctv systems, telecoms components, silicon chips from china and everything they are in. Idiots they are harmless!!!!!

This was the last video I watched before taking my test today the chart you made of the 4 categories towards the end of the video helped me with two questions I would have otherwise had to best guess on. I studied pretty hard over the last two weeks, and this video was a great last minute summary/reminder of everything that made me feel confident that I knew my stuff going into the test. I passed on my first try with a 93% 😊

Interesting how they only targeted DJI drones and not all of their products. Im not sure if their camera software is made in china or not but I would assume so. Whelp, it is what it is .... nothing we can do about it. As long as my drone works Im ok. I guess youtubers will have some more content coming as the new hunt for the next best drone is upon us. Great video and thanks for taking the time to educate us on the situation!

I bought the original Mavic mini in April of 2020. After years, decades of wanting to fly RC aircraft, I was bored with the Mavic after about a month. 4 years later & it's in new condition & barely used. May of 2020 I bought an Emax EZ Pilot and was hooked on FPV flight. By June 2020 I had outgrown my EZ Pilot & bought an Emax Tinyhawk Freestyle 2. Since then I've gotten the Mavic out to fly less than 5 or 10 times. I did just take it out today though just to see if it still worked and it flew perfectly. These things aren't really flying though. The Mavic flies itself, you just tell it where to fly to. I still don't like the idea of giving DJI access to my phone with their app. The latency of the original Mini sucks too. Not sure if that ever got any better, but you cannot fly it in close proximity to obstacles by watching the screen because you will crash it. Now, you can take it way up in the air and fly by watching the screen, but down low it's basically the worst FPV drone stuck in angle mode ever. I would recommend putting an analog camera & VTX or a Caddx Vista on top of the drone if you want to fly it FPV. That will take care of the latency problem. I just use mine for checking the roof for damage.

How can you say it will not brick the current drones. Think... the main reason they are banning ,(so they say) is National Security, so with that in mind how can they allow the current thousands to fly (and spy, so they say)

I think Dji should pay and get refund back to customers that by Dji drones!

what antennas you wear? have same goggles but not sure about antennas to use

DJI AIR 3 is the best. New features compared to mavic 3. Camera are too good. Faster than mavic 3 with the same sensors. And the zoom in is more smoother than mavic 3.

its a mini2se with a new chip someone found the old mini2se sticker in his mini4k (it was a mini4k btw it showed on arms and shot 4k) and I believe DJI confirmed it was just a 2se with a new chip capeable of handeling 4k

Some part i agree, if you want light, go for mini. For most user this wil be a perfect drone. To light, less speed and stability. About range, i think you must have been interfeared by signal or line of sight, based on altitude.

There is absolutely nothing comforting about our current DJI drones not being grounded. Most of these drones are good for about 2 to 3 years before they become antiquated and or have problems. This means according to this video that if you’re lucky you have another two or three years to fly drones that will actually work for you and do what you want them to do, because there are no real alternatives to DJI drones. However, this is not what I heard coming from Ryan Latourrette when he was talking to Ken Herron, yet the belief that we will not be able to get and fly new DJI drones persists.

What White Balance values were in place for the comparison shots please? This could be a big factor in the apparent temperature difference in the footage.

Just bought my first drone, a mini 2 a few weeks ago. Figured it would do me well for a long while. Now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and get a mini 4 pro to get grandfathered in if that's what will happen

DJI most likely has and already HAD approval for the next up and coming models. Should be coming soon, and approval happens LONG before they are even announced. So, pretty much any 2024 DJI releases are still a sure thing.

Sour grapes. now we'll be stuck with crappy US made drones.
